Don’t Engage in the Marketing Arena with a Blunt Keyword

When driving traffic to your online business, the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. And the main thing is the sales you generate at all time.
This is as valid for SEO as for any traffic generation method.

For this, you’ll have to come up with keywords that have high conversion rates and not just stuff a bunch of keywords that generate just traffic. Success online isn’t measured in traffic, it is measured in conversions. Invest you’re time in keywords that generate sales not in getting freeby visitors.

Nevertheless, there are cases when the traffic simply doesn’t convert no matter how good the offer is. For this you should test search traffic against your specific offer to make sure it converts.

And choosing the right keywords or keyword phrases will make the difference in your results every single time.

Lots and lots of people are wondering which category of terms or phrases to use in their titles, tagline or content. My moderate approach but higly successful is using both the long and short tail keywords at a rate of 50/50 because, as I’ll show below both categories have their ups and downs and the wise thing to do is exploit every asset each carries.

What I’m about to share is rather predictable, but I’ll write it anyways… Here I go:

Using short tail keyword can be a daunting task, especially with Google Adwords, as the competition can be fierce, but the search volumes for these terms will work in your favour in the long haul as you build a more solid presence on the internet.
