Are reciprocal links of any use?
As I mentioned in other link building posts, Google evolved its capacity for detecting low quality link exchanges, constantly diminishing their value towards zero or even negative figures. The reason why link exchanges dropped so dramatically is because of web’s evergreen reason – abuse.
I’m not saying that exchanging links is a banned practice in Google and other SEs perspective, but rather the abusive way in which is conducted and its approval or not depends largely on with whom you’re hanging out.

While the On-Page Factors still carries weight with SEO, Off-Page Factors are those which make or break a site’s ranking. And Off-Page Factors are generally translated into Backlinks.
Thus, you should focus your efforts on putting together and follow thru a solid link campaign if you were to see any drastic improvements on your Google ranking.
Any link campaign must include your homepage, category pages, articles and press releases.

6. Meta Robots Tag
This tag is usually used by new or unskilled Webmasters. Take for example this Meta Robots Tag:
<meta name=”robots” content=”index,follow” />
This is useless because it is what a search engine does by default. Using this tag as typed above makes as much sense as posting a sign that says, “Remember, breathe while you sleep” Get my point? Yes, it’s an automatic process which doesn’t require further commands.
It is the same with a search engine bot. However there are other useful variations of the Meta Robots Tag, such as using the tag to keep a page from being indexed.

Title Tag
Google doesn’t require the keyword phrase to be used in the webpage’s title in order to get a top ranking. Still, you’ll want to use the keyword phrase with the Title. Too many SEOs base their entire title tag optimization tactic simply on throwing a keyword phrase in it and squeeze a couple of links with that keyword phrase as anchor text.
