Make a thorough keyword research

Any traffic generation campaign, whether it would be google adwords, article and ezine marketing and at a limited degree, video marketing, gravitates around one majore key ingredient – words. And choosing the right keywords or keyword phrases will make the difference in your results every single time.

Lots and lots of people are wondering which category of terms or phrases to use in their titles, tagline or content. Using short tail keyword can be a daunting task, especially with Google Adwords, as the competition can be fierce, but the search volumes for these terms will work in your favour in the long haul as you build a more solid presence on the internet.

Another draw back is that the conversion rate is low due to their generalistic nature, as the searcher is more likely to be in a reseach faze with no intention of buying just yet. The results with these words generaly show-up after two months of intensive content infusion.

On the other hand, the more specialised long tail keywords aren’t so much sought-after as their counterpart but once typed in your web browser you stand a better chance of making a sale as the searcher is looking for that particular niche that you had the inspiration to optimize your page/content for.

What keyword research tools to use. Another important issue because 99% of all marketers are using just one keyword tool and, of course, they prefer a free one. Remember, always use as much keyword tools as your budget permits because each such online software uses different methods of generating terms. I can’t emphasyse this enought. Maybe with a video capture I would have been more convincing =), but guys, really, It’s vital to use more than one such instrument.
