Make them go “A-HA” with Your Content

Top prospects require top quality content in your marketing blog.

In order for your blog to become a lead magnet you have to make your content useful and unique.

How to produce useful content?

As I’ve stated in the Choosing THE Topic for your marketing blog post from this series, you want your blog to become, overtime, a complete library in the niche you operate in. Evaluating the usefulness of your blog content will always be a subjective matter depending from reader to reader.

Nevertheless there is a tactic that will guarantee your content will be percieved as being useful 90% of the time and that is by presenting the information in more than one tonality and format.

Some of the approaches at your dispossal when discussing your market within your blog can be:

How to Effectively Start-up Your Marketing Blog

When designing a marketing blog, I prefer adopting a simplistic strategy targeted towards a single objective – Make my prospects take the desired action.

This can be summed up in the form of subscribing to your RSS feed, or fill in an opt-in form and get onto your mailing list. Sounds familliar? It should because it’s the same strategy I’ve employed with my blog.
I prefer an opt-in form, but the RSS feed option is still as effective. I’ve chosen the mailing list as the primary subscribtion method because RSS feed are not read as much as emails are.

The last thing that you want to do with your prospect is  confuse him with a ton of options to choose from. You know what’s the outcome of this, right? He leaves. Confused people do anything.

How can you implement a simplified prospecting system on your blog?

The starting point is choosing a simple yet effective theme. The best choice available on the market today are Thesis Theme and Frugal Theme. Between these two I prefer Thesis.

Launching your Marketing Blog

I will avoid getting into comparative charts between different blogging platforms and directly advocate my personal choice – WordPress

You surely heard of wordpress before, but let me make a clear distinction between wordpress.com and wordpress.org.

While Wordpress.com provides the software and hosting services for free, the second, wordpress.org, is a freelance software, free to use on any website, by anyone. You might wonder why not just take the hosted version of wordpress.com and start blogging.

For network marketers this is a next-to-impossible approach to blogging because in your endeavor to drive quality traffic and generate leads for your business, you’ll:

  • have to make reference to other players/products or services in your market and to do so it could be considered advertising.
  • getting advertised via email lists, other blogs and web sites, and similar unsolicited promotional methods – interdiction stated in their terms of service.
  • want to have your own branded domain name.

Choosing THE Topic for Your Marketing Blog

The answer to this issue lies in making a thorough research of the market you operate in. Knowing all the variables of your market will enable you to answer questions such:

Who is your market?

You have to build a complete profile of your prospect. It’s not necesarily coming up with percentages for each segment. but before addressing a market you have to know what is that they’re interested in:

just buying your products;

getting involved in the business opportunity you offer;

both

Another set of data extracted with your research must address their needs, fears and desires. A wise thing to do is employing these three aspects into distinct categories in your future blog in a way that would enable your prospects to find quick (preliminary) answers to their problems.

You want your future blog to be a complete library about your niche market.

Article Landing Page. Core Element for any Article Marketing Strategy

After composing your effective article, the next faze is chosing the Landing Page where your traffic is directed.

In Network Marketing there are four options to choose from and these are…

  • Review of a product
  • Presell a product
  • Product’s original salespage
  • Squeeze page

You could actually combine these four options by simultaneously targeting that initial sale and building a list. It’s entirely up to you. From my perspective, I would much rather bid on the specialization factor, namely either build a list or attempt to make an affiliate sale.

How to write Magnetic Article Headlines

The article’s title is the most important part of the entire content when submiting it on the web. You well know that if the title is intriguing, chances are you stick with the article and go throught it, or at least, a big portion of it. If the title is vague and uninteresting you’ll probably, in best scenario, just scroll down to the price tag or worse – directly press the back button of your browser and continue searching.
